Woman in Mind - Chesham Bois Catholic Players

Fri, 09/26/2014 - 01:00

"Woman in Mind" by Alan Ayckbourn performed by Chesham Bois
Catholic Players

Chesham Bois Catholic Players' autumn production of "Woman
in Mind" is widely regarded as one of Alan Ayckbourn's best
plays.. A lady wakes up after a minor accident in her garden
to find that her mind and her life of domestic "bliss" are
slowly unravelling. A whole host of fascinating characters
are introduced during this funny and poignant dark comedy.

Director Nic Barton says "I saw this show in the West End
when I was a teenager and I loved the characters and what an
extremely well written play it was. When I was choosing the
play for the Autumn production and saw this was available I
had to give it a go. The main part of Susan has to stay on
stage the whole time throughout the performance and that is
extremely challenging, especially for someone involved in
Amateur dramatics. We have an excellent person playing that
role and a supporting cast who will do this excellently
written production justice."

Our cast list is as follows:Susan (Mary Murray), Gerald
(Paul Paul Eckersall. Muriel Jacinta Blackburn), Rick (Calum
Beney), Andy Alex Micallef), Tony Steve Turner) and Lucy
(Sue Felix). It is being Directed by Nic Barton and the
Assistant t Director is Jonathan Coburn

Friday 26th Sept 8pm, Sat 27th Sept 7.30pm, Sun 28th Sept
4pm at The Little Theatre. Tickets: £12 adults, £10
concessions. Some unsold tickets may be available at the
door. From or Tel: 0844 8700887
(£1.50 surcharge for telephone bookings).

"Woman in Mind" will round off what has been a very
successful year for CBCP - following on from Terry
Pratchett's "Mort" in June and our award-winning production
of "Honk!" in January.

date: 26th-28th September 2014

time: 26th at 8pm, 27th at 7.30pm, 28th at 4pm
